Our strength lies in the nation’s armed forces. To guarantee that their compatriots get a decent night’s sleep, they risk their lives by standing at the borders. They bravely and valiantly battle the enemy, often losing their lives in the process, all for the sake of the country.

The armed forces put the nation and its citizens above all else, including their own lives, as a sign of their love for it. Armed Forces Flag Day is observed annually to honour those who gave their lives defending our nation and to raise money for the military’s advancement.

December 7 is marked as Armed Forces Flag Day each year. The big day falls on Thursday this year.

The Ministry of Defence declared on August 28, 1949, that December 7 would be Armed Forces Flag Day in remembrance of the soldiers, sailors, and airmen. Additionally, it exhorts individuals to sell badges and stickers in order to raise money for the improvement of the armed forces.

On this day, people get together to discuss the well-being of former service members as well as options for rehabilitation for victims of war.

The nation’s researchers, sailors, and pilots risk their life to keep us secure. It is important that we make an effort to express our gratitude for their assistance.

On this day, people honour the martyrs and help to support and care for the nation’s military personnel, including those in the air force, navy, and army.
