Karwa Chauth 2022: Moonrise timings, Shubh Muhurat for Puja | All you need to know
Women will gather in groups in the evening to perform Karwa Chauth puja, read the Karwa Chauth story, and break their fast after sighting the moon.
Karwa Chauth, an Hindu auspicious festival, is being celebrated across the country today, October 13. Married women will pray for their husbands’ long lives, happiness, and safety on this day. They observe a nirjala vrat by abstaining from eating and drinking for the entire day while praying to Karwa Mata, Goddess Parvati, Lord Shiva, and Lord Ganesha.
Women will gather in groups in the evening to perform Karwa Chauth puja, read the Karwa Chauth story, and break their fast after sighting the moon. When the moon rises, they will pray to the moon and make an offering while viewing their husband through a sieve. To end the vrat, they take a sip of water from their husband’s hands. Therefore, it is crucial to be aware of the precise time of moonrise.
Puja Shubh Muhurat
On Karwa Chauth, the moon will rise around 8:09 p.m., according to Drik Panchang. Additionally, the fasting timings will be from 06:20 am to 08:09 pm, and the Puja Muhurat is from 05:54 pm to 07:08 pm.
Moonrise Timings on Karva Chauth
Sighting the moon is very important to open the Karva Chauth fast, which is kept on the Chaturthi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. According to the Hindu calendar, on October 13, the moon of Karva Chauth will rise at 8:16 pm. As soon as the moon comes out, the women will sight the moon through a sieve and then will see the face of their husband. The women will then offer prayers to the moon, worship and pray to give long life to your husband. Will take the blessings of mother-in-law and then break the fast of Karva Chauth by drinking water from the hands of her husband.
