Responding to Akhilesh Yadav’s un-upyogi (useless) remarks, the Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath said he was un-upyogi for those political parties who support the mafia and corrupt people in the state.
A day after the multiple IT raids at the premises of the Samajwadi Party leaders, the Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi backed the party Chief Akhilesh Yadav saying instead of solving problems, the BJP government is tapping opposition leaders’ phones.
Addressing women at Mahila Shakti Samvaad, in Rae Bareli, Priyanka Gandhi said instead of understanding the problems of the public and finding its solutions, the BJP is tapping the phones of opposition leaders. In her address, she urged the women to vote for those who genuinely want to empower them. Empowerment does not mean a gas cylinder or a toilet, she said.
Speaking with India TV reporters, Priyanka Gandhi said instead of making roads, hospitals, creating jobs, listening to peoples’ grievances, the government is hearing the phone recording of its opponents.
Gandhi also lashed out at the SP, BSP for leaving their home just a few months before the UP polls and said Mayawati is nowhere to be seen campaigning, while Akhilesh Yadav has started campaigning in the last 2 months. It is only Congress that has been fighting against the UP government.
Earlier this month, she launched the party’s manifesto for women for the upcoming UP Assembly polls, making a slew of promises including 40% reservation for women in government jobs if her party comes into power.

In reply to PM Modi’s UP+Yogi remark, the Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav has tweeted the incidents of crimes against Dalits and women in Uttar Pradesh under the rule of CM Adityanath.
Terming the UP government as un-upyogi (useless), the SP chief said the people can’t expect anything from the unupyogi government. The BJP can only run WhatsApp University, he said.
Citing yesterday’s IT raids, Yadav said the BJP is working on a script handed down to the Congress when they were the rulers.

Calling his decision his personal choice, the union will not support or participate in any political party in the upcoming elections. Yesterday, Chadhuni has formed a political outfit Samyukt Sangharsh Party to contest Punjab assembly polls.
Punjab’s ruling Congress had earlier promised to waive all types of farmers loans and to withdraw cases registered against farmers during the farmers protest against farm laws, but till now the government has not taken any initiative. The union will not accept less than these two demands.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Aero India 2023 which is Asia’s largest aero show taking place in Karnataka’s Bengaluru. Prime Minister Narendra Modi while delivering his address at the event said that Aero India is an example of the expanding capabilities in India.
The aero show is the 14 instalment of the event and the objective is to put indigenous equipment and technologies on display in order to get a partnership from companies outside of India.
PM Modi in his address also said that the presence of around 100 nations here is a testament that the trust of the world in India has increased. He further said that the participation of more than 700 exhibitors from India and the world is unprecedented.
The event will be held for 5 days as the visitors will get to witness air shows, aerobatics as well as exhibitions. According to reports, over 809 companies from across 98 countries have participated in the Aero India 2023.
USA’s leading fighter jet , F-16 Falcons will be seen throughout the event as they will be performing aerial demonstrations and sorties. USA’s renowned F/A 18E and F/A-18F Super Hornet will also be seen on display at the event.
The event is being held in Beneglauru’s Yelahanka Air Force Station and was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also gave an address and was in attendance on the opening day of the event..
It is also reported that the event will be military-dominated, however, India’s efforts to accommodate a domestic travel boom and revive its brand in foreign countries. The theme of Aero India 202 is ‘The Runway to a Billion Opportunities’.
It is reported that the Centre has been urging manufacturers to share technology or make more than parts in the country. The efforts by the Centre was inspired by Make In India policy and has targeted manufacturers including Lockheed Martin Corp, Boeing, and Airbus.
It is reported that 251 agreements with investments up to 75,000 crore are expected to be signed between the Indian government and the foreign defence companies.

Eleven days after winning 20 seats in the 40-member House and securing the support of two MGP MLAs and three Independents, the saffron party will ask the governor to stake a claim to form the government.
On Sunday, Goa BJP President Sadanand Tanavade revealed that Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and L. Murugan will attend the meeting as BJP central observers to help the state establish a government.
