Amid high political drama in Maharashtra following an open rebellion in Shiv Sena, an anti-Thackeray group member on Monday sent best wishes to Sanjay Raut, moments after ED summoned Udhav Thackeray’s most vocal defender in money laundering case.

Shrikant Shinde, the son of rebel Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde, is the man who has sent best wishes to Sanjay Raut a day after the leader used conciliatory tone for rebel MLAs, who are still in Guwahati.

My best wishes to Sanjay Raut on ED summons, the rebel Shiv Sena minister’s son said in Marathi

However, the Sena’s Rajy Sabha MP has repeatedly daring rebel MLAs to return to Mumbai from Assam’s Guwahati, where they are camping. He had earlier used threatening language against the dissenting faction of the Uddhav Thackeray-led outfit.

Shrikant’s remarks came amid a show of strength by the pro-Shinde Sena workers in the family’s stronghold of Thane.

Hitting out at senior party leader Sanjay Raut, the junior Shinde told the ANI that it’s not a rebellion but what what the people of Maharashtra want. What does he mean by ‘bringing bodies from Guwahati’?

Shinde also said that the rebel faction will win the heated court battle over disqualifications. This is not the culture of our state. He may threaten other people, but not us, he said.

Shrikant broke his silence over Maharashtra’s political crisis and extend his support to father Eknath. He stands with the rebel camp and has no fear of Uddhav Thackeray and his supporters. His party Shiv Sena Balasaheb is not afraid of Sanjay Raut’s threats (dhamki), he said while addresing the jounalist in Mumbai.

Sanjay Raut was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Mumbai for questioning tomorrow in a case of alleged money laundering

Following Shiv Sena workers protest against Shinde’s betrayal, the Maharashtra Police has imposed Section 144 till July 10 in its capital, Mumbai. The angry pro-Thackeray protesters have vandalised the offices of rebels in parts of Maharashtra.

Rahul Gandhi claims Congress is winning upcoming elections in Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan

Rahul Gandhi

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi expressed his confidence in his party’s ability to win the upcoming legislative elections in Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan on Sunday. The Wayanad MP asserted at an event in the nation’s capital that there is no way we are not going to win any of them.

They are really close and he thinks they will be able to win, he said. Rahul Gandhi said, right now, he would say we are probably winning Telangana, they are definitely winning Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan. By the year’s conclusion, elections are scheduled for the aforementioned states, he said.

The Congress MP said that the BJP wins districts and doesn’t allow the opposition to create a narrative as an important lesson that the party learned in Karnataka, where it staged a comeback earlier this year with overwhelming majorities.

He further said, they battled in a way in Karnataka that stopped the BJP from controlling the narrative, contrary to what they did there.

Gandhi claimed that the party sought to stray from the Opposition’s call for a caste census by using the insults leveled by BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri against Bahujan Samaj Party MP Danish Ali as a distraction in the Lok Sabha.

He continued, every time we bring a topic to the table, they use this type of nonsense to divert, and they have now learned how to deal with it. They know that a caste census is a fundamental thing that the people of India want, and they don’t want to have that discussion.

Gandhi claimed that one of the key elements in Telangana, MP, and Chhattisgarh was controlling the narrative, which contributed significantly to Congress’ victory in Karnataka.

He stated, what we did in Karnataka was we provided the state with a clear vision and then we controlled the narrative.

Rahul Gandhi referred to the One Nation, one-election debate as one of the side problems the BJP used as an excuse to sidetrack from the important issues.
