Rahul Gandhi’s picture with UK MP Jeremy Corbyn in London sparks war of words between BJP and Congress, see tweets here
The picture was even shared by the BJP leader and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and he attacked the former Congress president for going against his own country.
A picture of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is doing rounds on the internet and it has started a debate between BJP and Congress. Rahul Gandhi is in London for the conference where he met Britain’s Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn in London. As soon as the picture was out, BJP started hitting out Congress MP for allegedly endorsing the UK MP’s anti-India views on foreign soil.
The picture was even shared by the BJP leader and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and he attacked the former Congress president for going against his own country.
In a tweet, Rijiju wrote that again Rahul Gandhi meets UK MP and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn who is known for his hatred and dislike for India, advocates Kashmir’s secession. Or how long and how much one can go on against one’s own country.

He further wrote for about how long and how much one can go on against one’s own country. Amit Malviya also shared the picture and wrote that Jeremy is known for his visceral dislike for India, advocates Kashmir’s secession and is unequivocally anti-Hindu. Gandhi has finally found his overseas collaborator, who denigrates India with the same impunity as him.
After this, Congress defended Gandhi’s meeting with Corbyn. The grand-old party shared the pictures of Jeremy with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and wrote whether he too endorsed the anti-India view of the UK labour leader and MP.
Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that he is amazed to see how dearest friends in TV Media have to bend over backwards to serve the idiotic agenda of the Government and the ilk of Kapil Mishra.
He further said that may he also ask their media Friends to identify the two men in the picture below and ask the same questions? Does it mean PM has endorsed Jeremy Corbyn’s views on India?
Other than this, Surjewala also shared examples of Modi’s public interactions with economic fugitives Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi and asked whether he endorsed them.
He said that Rahul Gandhi taking a picture with a person with whom they hold divergent views is neither a crime nor an act of terror as is being made out. If this is the criteria, our media friends should also debate – Why did the PM take Nirav Modi to Davos and about their common photos? What about the video of the PM addressing Mehul Choksi as Hamare Mehul Bhai in a public function.
