Madhya Pradesh election results: BJP looks to retain power in state with big victory

Chauhan said today the results of Madhya Pradesh state elections are coming and he is confident that with the blessings of the people and the able leadership of respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bharatiya Janata Party is going to form the government again with full majority.

Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said the BJP will form a government again with absolute majority on Sunday as early trends show the BJP is in the lead. The Madhya Pradesh CM took to X( formerly Twitter) and wrote Bharat Mata ki Jai, Janta Janardan ki Jai. Chauhan said today the results of Madhya Pradesh state elections are coming and he is confident that with the blessings of the people and the able leadership of respected Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bharatiya Janata Party is going to form the government again with full majority.

Chouhan said they always felt that they will win and they are winning. He said the love affection shown by the nephews, nieces and sisters has been tremendous. He said at times more women were present at the BJP rallies than men. Chouhan said there was no kaante ki takkar. He said ladli behnas have removed all the thorns. He said the double engine government of the BJP at the Centre and Madhya Pradesh had brought about huge development.

He gave his heartiest congratulations to all the candidates of the BJP. As many as 100 packets of sweets reached Shivraj Singh’s residence to mark the celebrations as early trends showed the BJP ahead. Union  Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia also arrived at the chief ministers’s residence on Sunday.

He said they knew that as far as Madhya Pradesh is concerned with the welfare schemes of the double engine government the people of the state will surely give their blessings to the BJP and the party will form its government with an absolute majority.

Counting of votes for the Madhya Pradesh state elections started at 8 am on Sunday. Elections took place in Madhya Pradesh on November 17 and a total voter turnout of 77.15% was recorded which is 1.52% higher than the 2018 figures.

PM Modi inaugurates India’s longest cable-stayed bridge, Sudarshan Setu, in Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated India’s longest cable-stayed bridge in Dwarka, Gujarat.

The Sudarshan Setu, which connects Okha to the island of Beyt Dwarka, cost Rs 979 crore for its construction. The 2.3 kilometer long bridge was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi in October 2017, with the statement that it will connect the old and modern Dwarka.

According to an official announcement, the four-lane, 27.20-meter-wide bridge has 2.50-meter-wide footpaths on each side. The unique design of Sudarshan Setu has a pathway flanked on both sides by pictures of Lord Krishna and verses from the Bhagavad Gita.On the higher sections of the footpath, solar panels have also been installed, producing one megawatt of electricity.

Before the bridge was built, pilgrims had to take boats to get to Beyt Dwarka.

The bridge was formerly known as Signature Bridge, but it is now called Sudarshan Setu, or Sudarshan Bridge. The popular Dwarkadhish temple of Lord Krishna is located in Dwarka town, approximately 30 kilometers away from the island of Beyt Dwarka, which is close to Okha harbor.

Additionally, PM Modi will offer prayers at the Dwarkadhish temple.

The first All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Gujarat will be inaugurated in Rajkot this afternoon by the prime minister.

The prime minister will virtually open four other recently constructed AIIMS in Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal in addition to the Rajkot AIIMS.

The Center spent Rs 6,300 crore building the five super-speciality hospitals, one of which is located in Rajkot.

The PM will also lay the foundation stone for several projects, including the construction of the regional scientific center in Jamnagar, the installation of a flue gas desulphurization (FGD) system at the Sikka Thermal Power Station in Jamnagar, and the expansion of the Dhoraji-Jamkandorna-Kalavad portion of NH-927D.

Additionally, the prime minister will set the groundwork for more than 200 healthcare infrastructure projects in 23 states and U.T.

UP government cancels Reserve Civil Police recruitment exam, says fresh test to be held within 6 months

He assured the people that strict action will be taken to address any attempts to sabotage the efforts of aspiring candidates. He said firm action was pledged against those found responsible for such misconduct.

The government of Uttar Pradesh cancelled the Reserve Civil Police recruitment exam on Saturday and said a new exam to be conducted within 6 months. The examination took place on February 17 and 18th. According to reports there were allegations of the question paper being leaked.

He said firm action was pledged against those found responsible for such misconduct.The re-examination will be held in next 6 months and the candidates will be taken to the exam centres free of cost by the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) buses.

The Yogi government has ordered an investigation into suspected irregularities and tampering in the Review officer/Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO) examination. The investigation is focusing on administrative issues rather than the content of the exam paper. The state government also directed for registration of an FIR against those found responsible for the leak. The recruitment exam took place in two shifts in which more than 48 lakh candidates had applied and 43 lakh had appeared for the examination.

According to reports there was a paper leak on social media and it was available at a price between Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh. Many candidates had it 8-12 hours before the commencement of the examination. The UP Police recruitment and promotion board on Monday constituted an internal committee to carry out investigation in the alleged paper leak and viral question papers on social media.Hundreds of candidates who had appeared for the UP constable recruitment examination 2024 gathered at Eco Garden, Lucknow, on Friday and staged a massive protest demanding re-examination

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman travels by Mumbai local, takes selfies with commuters

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday travelled in a Mumbai local train and interacted with commuters while travelling from Ghatkopar to Kalyan. She also took pictures with them.

Sitharaman left commuters by surprise when she made her way inside their coaches. This morning, the commuters had an unusual co-passenger travelling with them. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the passengers.

Taking to X, Sitharaman’s office informed that the Finance Minister took a ride in a local from Ghatkopar to Kalyan. The office also shared pictures of Sitharaman taking selfies with the youngsters and office-goers.

Later in the day, Sitharaman also attended the inauguration ceremony of the BITS Pilani news campus in Kalyan, Maharashtra. Addressing the ceremony, she said that a growing India draws from its skilled youths who contributed to the nation’s development.

She further said that the impact of a well-rounded education is such that different services and different domains benefit from their presence, adding that, she said that most often the government is lectured by the Western top leader that India should have a culture of charity, to which she thoroughly disagreed with them by giving them the example of institution like BITS, which promotes good education, funds needy students and sets a good example of various other charitable work they have done, Sitharaman added.

Furthermore, Sitharaman said that the innovation from India to innovate for India was the principle with which her government has worked, so innovation gets all the support.

Speaking about the recent budget, She said that, the vote on the account budget, she had announced that there would be a corpus of Rs 1 lakh crore given for the corpus for a special purpose vehicle which will be created by the government, which will be funding innovations and research and development activities, she asserted.

BITS Pilani, an institution which started just from being a ‘Paathshala’, is now an institution where people now long to study, she added. There have been 7,400 CEOs from BITS Pilani, many in Fortune 500 companies, she further added. Over 3,300 academicians, including Vice-Chancellors, Directors, and Heads of Departments in prestigious universities globally, are from BITS Pilani, she said at the inauguration of BITS.
