Indian fans and Indian cricket fraternity wished former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan on his 38^th birthday on Tuesday.The social media was flooded with birthday wishes for the left handed batsman. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took to X(formerly Twitter) and wished Shikhar Dhawan a very Happy Birthday . The BCCI highlighted the remarkable journey of the former Indian batsman acknowledging his impressive statistics and the total number of runs scored by him. BCCI noted his significant contribution to the success of the Indian team as he was an important part of the 2013 Champions trophy-winning team.

Cricketer Manoj Tiwary wished the former Indian cricketer and wrote Happy Birthday to someone who is an in born fighter, a champion cricketer, a supremely good human being and a gem of a friend.

Punjab Kings took to X and wished the left handed batsman a very Happy Birthday. They wrote the eyes, they never lie.

Former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja was furious over the non selection of Kishan in the T20I series. Star batsman Kishan did not get a chance in Team India’s World Cup campaign. Jadeja said there was a series right after the World Cup. He said Ishan Kishan played three matches and was sent home. He said he Kishan did not play a lot of games in the World Cup.

Jadeja asked how many players have scored a double century on a good day? He said he can turn the game around on his day. Jadeja asked when will he get ready? He asked will he be kept on trial all the time? He further questioned how many games Kishan had played in the last two years? Jadeja said this problem of Indian cricket is very old that we do not select players but reject them.

Kishan had played for India in the third T20. Kishan recorded a five ball duck aginst Australia in Guwahati. Kishan started the series by an impressive knock of 58 off 39 balls at Vishakapatnam. He played a brilliant knock of 52 off 32 balls in the second T20I at Thiruvanthpuram. Jadeja said Ishan Kishan did not play the entire five match T20I series against Australia. He was sent home after three matches to rest. Jadeja asked if this is going to continue, how will the selectors ensure that Kishan is full ready?

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is extending the contract of head coach Rahul Dravid after the ICC World Cup 2023. National Cricket Academy (NCA) chief and batting icon VVS Laxman coached a second string Indian side for the entire five-match T20I series against Australia. Under the leadership of SuryaKumar Yadav, a second string Of Indian team defeated Australia 4-1 in the bilateral series. The Indian team played without the services of skipper Rohit Sharma, ex-captain Virat Kohli, all rounder Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul and Jasprit Bumrah.

Former BCCI treasurer Dhumal expressed optimisim about a potential windfall for the league. He made these predictions on the basis of two key developments: The introduction of women’s premier league (WPL) and the inclusion of cricket in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. These developments will have a major impact on the league’s financial growth and overall global prominence.

Dhumal said they needed to keep on innovating and keep doing better in terms of fan engagement and increase the quality of the games.The media rights value of the Indian Premier League has grown exponentially in the last the decade and half from Rs 6000 crore in 2008 and went past several other major sporting leagues all over the world.

Dhumal said IPL is the most watched cricket league in the world. He said it is the biggest Make in India Brand one could think of post independence. He said India was truly a very diverse nation but IPL was the only brand that united the whole country and showcased it at the international stage.
