The cricketers, who are generally seen in cricketing gears on the field, are being seen performing Garba in the traditional outfit during Navratri celebrations in Gujarat.
Legendary West Indian cricketer Chris Gayle celebrated Navratri with Gujarat Giants teammates in Jodhpur, where their team, Gujarat Giants, will play the eliminator match of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium on Monday.
A video of his Garba moves with lady dancers in traditional Gujarati outfits is doing rounds on social media.
In the video, the Universe Boss, dressed in a traditional outfit, can be seen performing Garba dance with lady Garba dancers on Gujarati music beat in Jodhpur.
Gujarat Giants head coach Venkatesh Pradesh, captain Virendra Sehwag and Universe Boss Chris Gayle among the others celebrated Navratri in Jodhpur.
Besides, Gayle and Sehwag, Parthiv Patel, Kevin O’Brien, Graeme Swann, Richard Levi and Ajantha Mendis are also part of Gujarat Giants squad in the ongoing Legends League Cricket. The team is in Gujarat’s Jodhpur district now.
The Sehwag-led side has qualified for the playoffs and looking for another win in the eliminator match on Monday.
While playing for Gujarat Giants against Irfan Pathan’s Bhilwara Kings, Gayle has scored 15 and 68 respectively.
Only the top three teams qualify for the playoffs. In the Qualifier on Sunday, the Capitals will lock horns against Bhilwara Kings for a place in the final.
While on Monday, the loser of the Qualifier will play against the Giants in the Eliminator contest. Both the matches will be played in Jodhpur.
