The Brazilian team’s challenge against Croatia will be to contain the Croatian midfield which is the engine of the team. Croatian midfield consisting of star players like Peresic, Modric, Kovacic, and Pasalic can be enough to make a dent in Brazil. The Brazilian team’s other challenge for the match will be avoiding injuries, especially Neymar’s.

Neymar, who was rulled out of 2 games in the group stages after facing an horrific ankle injury against Camroon returned against Soth Korea and found himself on the scoresheet. Neymar’s presence for the Brazilian team is the key to unlock the door for World Cup Trophy. However, due to him already being vulnerable to injury, the challenge for Brazil will be to keep him injury free in order to win the World Cup. Neymar’s absence is a void for the Selcao’s that can’t be filled with any other player, specially for Brazil who lack the appropriate depth on the bench.

The Argentine captain once again proved decisive on the biggest stage, scoring all three goals as his side secured maximum points and sent an early warning to the rest of the tournament contenders.

Messi opened the scoring in the first half before adding two more goals after the break to complete his hat-trick. His performance ensured Argentina remained in control throughout the contest and rarely looked troubled by the Algerian side.

The victory was particularly significant as it came in Messi’s landmark 200th international appearance for Argentina. The veteran forward marked the occasion in style, delivering one of the standout individual displays of the tournament so far.
