The maiden IPL title winner Hardik Pandya has been named the captain of the Indian side for the upcoming T20I series against Ireland. Pacer Bhuvneshwar has been named as Pandya’s deputy, which means he will be the vice-captain of the Indian team.
With IND vs IRE T20 series, Suryakumar Yadav will be making a comeback from injury and finally after ending the wait, Sanju Samson has also been recalled by the selectors. And NCA head, VVS Laxman will lead the coaching staff for this tour.

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s star player Rahul Tripathi has been given his maiden call up for the two-match series. This can be seen as a reward for his stellar batting with 400 plus runs in this edition of Indian Premiere League. Talking about the same, Tripathi said that he’s very happy that the selectors and everybody believed in him. “Feels like whatever hard work I have put in, finally got me the rewards. Hopefully, after getting an opportunity to play, I will give my best.”
And the best finisher of IPL 2022, Dinesh Karthik will continue his duties of the designated wicket keeper. However, the 36 years old will have some competition as Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson are in the Indian squad as the backups. The Indian bowling side looks strong with Yuzi Chahal, Harshal Patel, Umran Malik and Axar Patel in the squad.
