Real Madrid’s Casemiro is all set to join Manchester United, to go ahead with medical examination this week

The English side, Manchester United, will be clashing against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool on 23rd August.

The Real Madrid star, Casemiro, is set to join the Reds as he is expected to go through a medical this week.

Carlos Henrique Casimiro has become the redemption target for Manchester United as the Transfer window is about to close by September 1. Manchester United is expected to sign the catalyst for a whopping amount of 60 million Euros.

The Brazilian midfielder comes as a sense of silver-lining for the English side as they struggled to create momentum from the beginning of the Premier League season. Despite the addition of the new players such as Christen Eriksen, Tyrell Malacia, and Lisandro Martinez, the Reds put up a dreadful performance against Brentford and Brighton.

Erik Ten Hag, the newly appointed manager, has been looking for a reliable midfielder for his central midfield since his appointment as the preceding midfield duo, Fred and McTominay fail to get on with his program. Casemiro, who has been a no-nonsense defender, has many attributes that match the profile of what the gaffer is looking for.

Casemiro, however, while taking on the new challenge is expected to forget about the champions league dream this year. However, it is fitting to say that he has gotten more Champion League accolades than he could have bargained for as he collected 5 champions league trophies during his stint with the Spanish Giants, Real Madrid.

Manchester United was initially dead-set on signing the Dutch Midfielder, Frenkie De Jong, but failed to persuade him into the club. Casemiro’s expected signing will come as a redemption for the English side as they finally tracked down a fitting replacement to fill the gap in their midfield.

The English side, Manchester United, will be clashing against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool on 23rd August. The Reds in their Past fixtures did not have a desirable start as they lost to Brentford 4 to nill whereas they faced a loss to Brighton 2 to 1.

In light of Casemiro’s move to Manchester United, the fans have reacted to the news in a comical way on Twitter:

Manchester United are not expected to be done with the transfers as they are eyeing players in the positions of goalkeeper, right-back, and forward as well. They are hoping to get the targets before the transfer window closes.

Defending champions Argentina kicked off their FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign in emphatic fashion, defeating Algeria 3-0 in their Group J opener with Lionel Messi producing a memorable hat-trick.

The Argentine captain once again proved decisive on the biggest stage, scoring all three goals as his side secured maximum points and sent an early warning to the rest of the tournament contenders.

Messi opened the scoring in the first half before adding two more goals after the break to complete his hat-trick. His performance ensured Argentina remained in control throughout the contest and rarely looked troubled by the Algerian side.

The victory was particularly significant as it came in Messi’s landmark 200th international appearance for Argentina. The veteran forward marked the occasion in style, delivering one of the standout individual displays of the tournament so far.

Argentina dominated possession and created the better opportunities throughout the match, while Algeria struggled to find a way past a disciplined Argentine defence. The reigning world champions combined defensive solidity with attacking quality to comfortably secure the result.

The win gives Argentina an ideal start in Group J, where they will next face Austria. Algeria, meanwhile, will look to bounce back when they take on Jordan in their second group-stage fixture.

With Messi showing he remains capable of influencing matches at the highest level, Argentina’s title defence has begun on a highly positive note.
