Two film directors Anurag Kashyap and Vivek Agnihotri ended up in a feud on Twitter on Wednesday as the Kashmir Files director found himself in controversy yet again. Vivek Agnihotri initiated the trigger which was quickly refuted by Kashyap, as Agnihotri posted a screenshot of Gangs of Wasseypur director on the recent Kantara and Pushpa.

Director Vivek Agnihotri on Wednesday took to Twitter to share the screenshot of Gangs of Wasseypur director’s statement on films such as Pushpa and Kantara as Kashyap while talking about movies such as Kantara and said that such movies are destroying the industry.

Contending Kashyap’s opinion, Vivek Agnihotri had written in his Tweet that he disagrees with the views and asked his followers if they agree on the given statement by Kashyap.

Soon After Agnihorti’s take on his statement about Kantara and Pushpa, the Gangs of Wasseypur director also entered the ring as he came forward and wrote that the research of his films and his Tweets seems to be the same and further added that Agnihotri and his media also suffer from the same inadequacy.

The attack by Anurag Kashyap on Agnihotri was a dig at his much controversial and contentious film, The Kashmir Files, which for many was a propaganda film rather than an art to convey the truth. Kashyap further urged Vivek Agnihotri to research well before turning to Twitter.

The spat between the Two further didn’t escalate as Agnihotri tried to have the last say in the matter and came back to write that now that both of them are talking about Kashmir Files, why doesn’t he prove that the 4 year-long research was false.

The statement which started the two to get into a spat with each other was due to the statement made by Anurag Kashyap on films such as Kantara and Pushpa. Kashyap had opined that the new pan-India trend where films such as Kantara and Pushpa encourage people to bring forward their own story, however, he believes that any film which is trying to emulate a film like KGF 2 and its success is headed toward disaster.

These statements were misconstrued by Agnihotri and formed the opinion that Anurag didn’t approve of films such as Kantara and Pushpa.

Veteran Bollywood actor Satish Shah, best known for his memorable comic roles in films and television, passed away on Saturday in Mumbai. He was 74.

Filmmaker Confirms The News

Confirming the tragic news, filmmaker Ashoke Pandit expressed grief over the actor’s demise, saying that Shah died around 2:30 pm following kidney failure. His condition reportedly worsened at home before being rushed to the hospital, where he could not be revived. His cremation is expected to take place later today.

“It’s a very big loss for the industry. I have worked with him on many projects,” said the filmmaker, recalling that he learned about Shah’s death shortly after attending adman Piyush Pandey’s last rites.

A Legacy Of Laughter

Born on June 25, 1951, in Bombay (now Mumbai), Satish Shah hailed from a Kutchi Gujarati family. His career began in 1978 with Arvind Desai Ki Ajeeb Dastaan, but it was his portrayal of Municipal Commissioner D’Mello in the 1983 satire Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro that brought him widespread recognition.

Over a remarkable film career spanning decades, Shah appeared in more than 250 movies, including Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), and Om Shanti Om (2007).

Television Stardom

Shah also left a lasting impact on Indian television. His 1984 sitcom Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi became iconic, where he played a new character in each of its 55 episodes. His role as Indravadhan Sarabhai in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai (2004), opposite Ratna Pathak Shah, remains one of the most loved comic portrayals in Indian TV history.

He also starred in Filmy Chakkar (1995) and later judged comedy-based reality shows such as Comedy Circus, continuing his association with humour and entertainment.
