At the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards, which were held on February 18 at London’s Royal Festival Hall, Deepika Padukone represented India. The actor gave the major award at the ceremony. She presented award in the ‘Best Film Not in the English Language’ category.

Director Jonathan Glazer’s film The Zone of Interest took up the Best Film Not in the English Language award. Presenting the prestigious award to him, Deepika can be heard saying, the amazing stories nominated in this category depict real and imagined worlds that stay with us long after the credits roll. The nominations are from Southern Poland to Seoul, from the Andes to the Alps, and the BAFTA goes to The Zone Of Interest.
For unversed, Oppenheimer received seven awards at BAFTA 2024, while, Poor Things took home five.
Remarkably, in 2023, during the Oscars Awards, Deepika Padukone was the only Indian to make it to the presenters list.
