Watch: Indians teach Belgian digital creator their favourite dance moves

A Belgian man took to Indian streets with a unique goal: to ask strangers to teach him their favourite dance moves. Not just this, he also recorded a video of himself learning dance moves from strangers and posted it on his Instagram page. As expected, the video has gone viral with millions of likes and views.

The video was shared on Instagram by Belgium-based digital creator Ed People. He has over 5.3 lakh followers on Instagram who look forward to his daily videos where he learns favourite dance moves from people. Alongside the video, he wrote the caption, Best of Indian dances.

The video opens to show Ed People asking people, Can they teach him their favourite dance moves. As the video progresses, he learns Bharatnatyam fusion from a woman, followed by Naatu Naatu hook steps from a man. Two women then teach Ed People their favourite Garba steps. He then learns Kuchipudi, Kuthu and Bhangra from people. Towards the end, he dances with a group of people and names the dance form Indian Joy.

The video was shared on July 6 on Instagram. It has since then garnered over 7.7 million views and more than 1.1 million likes. Additionally, the share has also prompted people to leave their thoughts in the comments section. As a Brazilian, Indian people might be the best dancers in the world for real, posted an Instagram user. Another User added, he loved Indian dancers and they look so happy.

Another social media user said these are the kind of videos the internet was made for. A fourth user commented, he was baffled to see how people on the streets just know their favourite dance move and also know how to teach someone to do it . The grace of classical dance, shared a another Instagram user. A sixth user wrote, Indian dances are so cool!

Chandrika Gera Dixit, popularly known as Delhi’s Vada Pav Girl, has once again hit the headlines after she was spotted with a Ford Mustang, worth Rs 74.61 lakh in India. In a video going viral on social media platforms, Dixit is seen coming out of the car’s trunk with a plate of pav, which has left many of her fans stunned.

The viral video was shared by Dixit on her Instagram handle, the video opens with a man saying in Hindi that there is a Ford Mustang parked in front of him and people have crowded around him. He is curious to know why people are standing there? As the video moves forward the man opens the car’s trunk and Dixit is lying inside it with a plate of pav.

Later in the video she says something big is coming soon. Towards the end of the video, Dixit is seen taking the driver’s seat of the Ford Mustang. Sharing the video, Dixit wrote, Vada Pav girl started selling vada pavs in Mustang car.

The video was shared 1 day ago and has got 26,950 likes till now which are only increasing. Large number of social media users and Vada pav girl fans started commenting on the viral post where one instagram user Karthikay Singhal wrote that a few days earlier the vada pav girl had said that she did not have money to set up a vada pav stall but now she is moving around in a Ford Mustang.

Another user Niranjan said the public and the vada pav girl fans are all mad. Another Instagram user said the vada pav girl was poor earlier and was shocked to know that she owns a Ford Mustang now. One Instagram user Rakesh Rathore said the woman had reached this milestone due to the love and support of fans and well wishers.

Aamir Khan’s Sarfarosh completes 25 years, special screening to be held in Mumbai

With some of the greatest hits and blockbusters in film history, Aamir Khan is undoubtably one of the biggest superstars in the country. Now Aamir Khan’s 1999 release Sarfarosh celebrated its 25th anniversary on April 30, 2024.

Aamir Khan, his co-star Sonali Bendre, and other cast members will attend a special screening of the movie in Mumbai to mark the event.

Sarfarosh will have a special screening at PVR Juhu in Mumbai on Friday, May 10, 2024. Along with Mukesh Rishi, Naseeruddin Shah, Makarad Deshpandey, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Rajesh Joshi, Smita Jaykar, Manoj Joshi, Upasna Singh, Surekha Sikri, Akhilendra Mishra, Akash Khurana, and many other, the film’s director John Matthew Matthan and music director Lalit Pandit will attend the event.

Aamir Khan’s 1999 film Sarfarosh is undeniably one of his best-loved productions, while some fans may have been too young when it was released in the theatres. Sarfarosh discusses issues like arms trafficking and cross-border terrorism, it was undoubtedly a groundbreaking movie.

In the film, after terrorists assault Aamir Khan’s family, he gives up on his medical education to play a vengeful police officer. Under the pseudonym Ajay Singh Rathod, he penetrates their network.

Khan has to negotiate a violent and perilous world of guns traffickers while working undercover with a tough Mumbai police officer, portrayed by Naseeruddin Shah. Action-packed and suspenseful, Sarfarosh delves into issues of sacrifice, patriotism, and the war against terrorism.

John Matthew Matthan, the director of Sarfarosh, stated in a recent interview that he stopped directing movies after a few because he wasn’t enjoying the process. However, he now wants to return with Sarfarosh 2.

In the same interview, the director revealed that he met Aamir Khan last week on the 25 anniversary of Sarfarosh, where the two decided to host a small get-together and do a special screening of the film for the cast and crew.

Laapataa Ladies actor Nitanshi Goel’s edited picture from Met Gala 2024 goes viral, social media reacts

Laapataa Ladies actor Nitashi Goel, who played the charater of Phool in the film, was also noticed on the Met Gala red carpet. The 17-year-old actor was featured in an edited photo, which was posted by Aamir Khan Productions’ official X (formerly Twitter) handle.

Nitanshi, who portrayed a bride in Laapataa Ladies, was seen wearing the same outfit on the red carpet in the photoshopped image. She had a maroon shawl draped over her shoulders, a basic red sari on, and a matching bindi on her forehead. She wore a long veil as part of her saree pallu.

Sharing the image on social media, the production company captioned the image, their Phool is blossoming in the garden of time. They futher added, watch Laapataa Ladies on Netflix India. The internet prasises her Met Gala debut.

One user said, Phool in her timeless shaadi ka joda (Indian bridal attire). My favorite phool of the season, another said. A third user said, from Surajmukhi to Met Gala journey of Phool Kumari is the next big thing and added a smiling emojis, praising her character’s journey in the film.

In response to the image, Nitanshi wrote, Met Gala 2024.

In the film, Nitanshi portrayed Phool, a young newlywed who goes missing. She discussed her preparation for the job. Since this is a 2001 story and she was born in 2007, she watched a lot of Bhojpuri woman’s videos like Sui Dhaaga, Balika Badhu, and other stories to see how the women are there. She had never seen that time period before, so she wanted to experience it at the audition. She wanted people to sense from her body language that she is narrating those women’s stories. Nitanshi, thus practiced wearing a veil and observing their body language. She wanted a sari outfit, she added.

Meanwhile, Laapataa Ladies tells the story of two young brides who were separated while traveling by train and what transpires when police officer Ravi Kishan decides to look into the missing case. The film is currently streaming on Netflix.
