Koffee With Karan 8: Sharmila Tagore opens up on bikini magazine shoot, says photographer was worried

Sharmila Tagore claimed that she wrote Tiger Pataudi a telegram. She was furious about everything.

The adorable mother-son duo Sharmila Tagore and  Saif Ali Khan is ready to add their charm to the Koffee with Karan couch for Season 8. The seasoned actor reveled stories from her shooting days to Saif Ali Khan’s childhood.

Karan Johar talked about her famous bikini shot at the beginning of the talk show, referring to a 1960s magazine picture shoot. In the movie An Evening in Paris, she also garnered media attention for the swimsuit she donned. The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani director said to Tagore that she is aware of the iconic bikini photo he was referring to. No one else desired for it to occur. Karan Johar said that even the photographer experienced some fear when doing that.

In response, Sharmila Tagore said, “Yes, I do.” “Is that your mum?” was a common question from people in my boarding school, Saif Ali Khan continued. Tagore said that she was proud of that shoot. The vetran actor said, photographer was a little concerned, but she just thought she looked really nice.

Later on, it truly wounded her since everyone took it to mean that she was attempting to attract attention and was upwardly mobile. That wasn’t how she felt. She also recalled that she was in London when it came out in Filmfare, so she didn’t know until Shakti (Samanta) ji called and asked whether she would return soon. Karan replied, this is not the way to go if you want to be in the public eye.

Sharmila Tagore claimed that she wrote Tiger Pataudi a telegram. She was furious about everything. The exact reverse of what she had anticipated happened, so she sent a telegram—telegrams were transmitted back then. Tiger responded, he is sure she was looking very nice, after she sent him the picture. That was her support, then, Sharmila Tagore said.

Karan Johar ended it on a lighter note and said, a version of trolling, of what happens on social media now.

Final Destination Bloodlines trailer still featuring Richard Harmon

The trailer of Final Destination Bloodlines, the sixth installment in the cult horror franchise, was officially released on March 25, 2025, teasing the eerie return of fate’s deadly design. Directed by Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky, the film introduces a fresh set of characters who are once again caught in a chilling web of unavoidable doom.

Set for international release on May 14, followed by its US premiere on May 16, the upcoming chapter promises a modernized yet nostalgic dose of thrills for long-time fans.

Trailer offers callbacks to iconic franchise moments

The trailer begins innocuously with a family barbecue setup in a peaceful garden. However, things quickly spiral into chaos. From shattered glass to misplaced Legos and a hidden rake under a trampoline, viewers are offered a familiar slow build of impending disaster. The horror is compounded in another tense sequence where two characters narrowly escape a highway collision—a scene clearly reminiscent of the unforgettable pile-up in Final Destination 2.

A haunting nightmare fuels the plot

As per the official synopsis, the story revolves around college student Stefanie, who is tormented by a recurring nightmare. Driven by desperation, she returns home in search of the one person who might help end the deadly cycle threatening her family.

The cast includes Richard Harmon, Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Owen Patrick Joyner, Rya Kihlstedt, Anna Lore, and Brec Bassinger, all set to face the grim reaper’s wrath in unique and terrifying ways.

Final appearance of Tony Todd as William Bludworth

One of the most emotional highlights of Final Destination Bloodlines is the return of Tony Todd, known for his enigmatic portrayal of William Bludworth. This marks the late actor’s final appearance in the series, a nod to his iconic presence in previous installments.

The screenplay is penned by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor, with production handled by Craig Perry, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, Jon Watts, Dianne McGunigle, and Toby Emmerich.
