She included one of Dilip Sahab’s favourite Urdu couplets in the caption. She said, she is writing this note on July 7th to especially express her gratitude to the overwhelming number of caring well-wishers and dearest friends from all over the world who have so tremendously swept her off her feet to this day with their everlasting remembrance, love, and respect for her Kohinoor Dilip Kumar Sahib, she continued.

Another Urdu couplet, her loved one is in slumber so her entire world is still- she implore him to stir awake so that the world comes alive again with his movement of waking up, is recited by Saira Banu as she remembers the death of her Sahib, as she referred to him affectionately.

To this day, she feels that he is with her, she continued. Sh also said, and no matter what happens, we will continue to walk the path of life together, hand in hand, and united in our thoughts and being till the end of time. With his courteous presence and engaging demeanour, Dilip Sahib has served as a guiding beacon for her life and the lives of all those generations who have come beforethe. He was the greatest actor of all time, a wonderful person, and a prime example of humility and dignity, the vetran actor said.

Batwara 1947 has had a disappointing run at the box office, and actor Shabana Azmi has now shared her thoughts on why the film may not have connected with audiences. According to Azmi, one possible reason could be the difficulty some viewers had in accepting Sunny Deol as a Muslim character.

The film, which also features Preity Zinta and Shabana Azmi, was released on August 14. It has reportedly earned around Rs 53 crore so far, while Awarapan 2, which released on the same day, has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark.

Azmi also suggested that there may have been confusion among some viewers about Sunny Deol’s character in Batwara 1947. She said that even some people who had watched the film believed Deol was playing a Pakistani character, whereas, according to her, he plays an Indian Muslim.
