Amidst the rise of digital arrest scams, an individual decided to prank a scammer impersonating a police officer. During a video call, the cybercriminal was unexpectedly greeted by a puppy instead of a victim.

Shared on Instagram, the video features a man responding to a call from someone dressed as a police officer, who claims to be contacting him from the Andheri East police station in Mumbai. When asked to show his face, the man humorously presents his small puppy to the camera, saying, “Yeh lijiye, sir. Aagya main camera ke saamne.”

Realising he’s been pranked, the scammer smiles and attempts to redirect the camera back to himself, saying, “Arey yeh raha main. Arey, thanedaar. Dikhraha hai? Arey nakli vardi,” while laughing. Eventually, he turns off the camera and disconnects the call.

This amusing encounter, shared widely on Instagram, had users in stitches, with one commenting, “Scammer ke saath hi scam kardia,” while another noted, “Indians are pretty talented when it comes to content.”
