SRK frenzy hits Kashmir: Fans mob Shah Rukh Khan at Srinagar Airport | WATCH
Shah Rukh Khan is a beloved celebrity across the country and a swathe of fans follow him everywhere, however, King Khan is especially loved by fans in Kashmir as was proven when a theatre in the valley was housefull courtesy SRK’s blockbuster film Pathaan.
On Friday evening, when SRK was returning to Mumbai from Kashmir, frenzied fans mobbed the megastar at the valley’s Srinagar Airport in a bid to click selfies and get autographs from Bollywood’s King.
A video shared by several fan pages dedicated to Shah Rukh Khan, showed fans swarming the Pathaan actor as he entered the Srinagar Airport. Khan had arrived in Kashmir earlier this week in connection with the filming of his upcoming movie Dunki, a Rajkumar Hirani directorial which also stars Taapsee Pannu and is scheduled for release this year.
Earlier, pictures of Shah Rukh Khan posing with a fan in Kashmir during filming of Dunki went viral on social media.
SRK’s box-office hit Pathaan also became a sensation in Kashmir as fans thronged the valley’s only movie theatre to watch the film.
The Pathaan fever which took over the entire country also gripped Kashmir as the SRK, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer was the reason a movie theatre in the conflict-riddled valley was sold out after nearly 32 years.
Kashmir, which plays an important role in plot of Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster return movie, also brought joy and business to the valley’s only modern theatre owner INOX, who posted a picture of a “Housefull” sign displayed outside the premises after more than three decades.
According to BookMyShow, INOX: Srinagar Shivpora had six shows of Pathaan today between 2:30 PM and 6 PM and five of them displayed as either sold out, filling fast or almost full when checked at the time.
In another tweet, INOX revealed that all shows on the opening day of Pathaan’s release were sold out, with the caption Kashmir has shown “extraordinary love” to Pathaan aka Shah Rukh Khan.
Shah Rukh Khan, who returned to the big screen after a four -year hiatus, kicked off 2023 with his record-smashing blockbuster Pathaan that rewrote the box-office records. SRK will next be seen Atlee’s Jawan along side Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi.

Kangana Ranaut starrer Chandramukhi 2 has performed well in the box office on day one despite Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan. Chandramukhi 2 is a new movie by P Vasu and is a sequel to the 2005 hit film of the same name. This film also marks Kangana Ranaut’s return after Dhaakad.
Chandramukhi 2 featuring Kangana Ranaut, Raghava Lawrence has made a business of Rs 7.5 crore at the box office on its first day in all languages, according to sacnilk. Film critics believe that this is quite an appreciable start considering the fact that it was released alongside Fukrey 3 and The Vaccine War.
According to reports, Chandramukhi 2 box office collection when compared to Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, the film has done better on Thursday than the Nayanthara starrer new film. In accordance with early trends in Sainik, Jawan earned about Rs 5.50 crores on Thursday.
Notably, Chandramukhi 2 becomes Kangana Ranaut’s fourth highest opener in her career. The Bollywood actor’s biggest opener as yet is Shootout at Wadala who gained over Rs 10.1 crore on the opening day. Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi are at number 2 and 3 with business of Rs 8.85 crore and Rs 7.75 crore, respectively.
The new film, Chandramukhi 2 is a sequel to the Rajinikanth and Jyothika starrer movie, Chandramukhi which was a remake of Manichithrathazhu, 1993 movie. As far as reports are concerned, Chandramukhi 2 was initially supposed to release on 15 September but was delayed when about 450 shots from the shooting went missing. The unforeseen incident caused a huge setback for the whole team who had to sit through the edit again.
Talking about social media users’ reactions to Chandramukhi 2, fans are extremely overjoyed with the movie and are showering praises on both the actors, Kangana and Raghava who portrayed the character of Chandramukhi and King Vettiyan.

Pallavi Joshi as Dr Priya Abraham director of NIV leads from the front and holds the fort with sensitivity and emotions. Raima Sen as Rohini Singh Dhulia shines and tries to put her best foot forward. Hemant said the film is a must watch cinema.
