Sidharth Malhotra’s highly awaited film Yodha finally released in cinemas on Friday. The film has been directed by the duo Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha and features Sidharth Malhotra, Disha Patani and Raashi Khanna in important roles. As the film released in cinemas the early Twitter reviews started coming in. Social media users praised Sidharth Malhotra’s action thriller and said it is his career best performance till date.

One social media user Praneet Samaiya gave a 4 star rating to Yodha . He said Sidharth Malhotra is exceptional in this powerful mid-air action thriller. He said Disha Patani is superb in the film and Yodha is filled with courage, patriotism & thrill. He said Sidharth Malhotra always looks dashing and plays a uniformed man effortlessly, be it #Shershaah, #Indian Police Force, or Yodha. He is the heart of Yodha; how he performs the action scenes is top notch.

Disha Patani is superb in her role as an air hostess. As always she looks adorable. The audience will be surprised by her performance. Raashi Khanna looks good in the film and plays her part with sincerity. The director duo of Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha has done a good job. The screenplay might seem rushed at one point, but the execution is on point and thrilling. #Sagar Ambre #Pushkar Ojha.

The BGM suits the narrative as it increases the tension and emotions throughout the film. Overall Yodha showcases the strong spirit of soldiers and is a gripping thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Another social media user Movie Hub gave Yodha 4.5 star rating. He said it is fabulous and worth the wait and money. He said Sidharth Malhotra fans should not miss this action packed thriller and this is his best film after Shershaah. He said Yodha is a block buster film.

His clarification came after his name had been circulating in discussions about possible contestants for Bigg Boss 20.

Batwara 1947 has had a disappointing run at the box office, and actor Shabana Azmi has now shared her thoughts on why the film may not have connected with audiences. According to Azmi, one possible reason could be the difficulty some viewers had in accepting Sunny Deol as a Muslim character.

The film, which also features Preity Zinta and Shabana Azmi, was released on August 14. It has reportedly earned around Rs 53 crore so far, while Awarapan 2, which released on the same day, has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark.

Azmi also suggested that there may have been confusion among some viewers about Sunny Deol’s character in Batwara 1947. She said that even some people who had watched the film believed Deol was playing a Pakistani character, whereas, according to her, he plays an Indian Muslim.
