Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, and the daughter of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, are teaming up for their upcoming film, “Loveyapa.” This romantic comedy is set to hit theaters in February 2025.

“Loveyapa” will be the second film for both Junaid and Khushi in their acting careers. A tragic accident in Mumbai’s Kandivali resulted in the death of a labourer and injuries to another when a car driven by Marathi actress Urmila Kanetkar struck them, according to reports. Both Kandivali and her driver also sustained injuries in the incident.

The accident occurred near Poisar Metro station as Kanetkar was returning from work. Reports indicate that the driver lost control of the vehicle, which was traveling at high speed, colliding with two metro workers. One of the workers was killed instantly, while the other suffered serious injuries.

Local police informed reporters that the timely activation of the car’s airbags helped protect the actress from severe harm. “Urmila Kothare’s vehicle struck two labourers conducting Metro rail work under the Poisar Metro station shortly after midnight. One worker died, and another was critically injured. The actor and her driver also suffered injuries, but the airbags deployed correctly, mitigating their injuries,” a police official told PTI.

The police have registered a case against the driver at the Samata Nagar Police Station and are conducting an investigation. The actress’s car suffered significant damage in the incident, but she escaped with minor injuries due to the airbag deployment.

Urmila Kanetkar is a prominent Marathi actress, known for her roles in films such as ‘Duniyadaari,’ ‘Shubhmangal Saavdhan,’ and ‘Ti Sadhya Kay Karte.’ She has recently made a television comeback with the Star Pravah show ‘Tujech Mi Geet Gaat Ahe,’ after a 12-year break.
