A SpiceJet flight that was flying from Delhi to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday made an emergency landing in Karachi, Pakistan. The flight had to divert to Karachi due to a technical fault.

According to the initial reports, the plane landed safely in Pakistan’s port city and all passengers and crew members are safe.

SpiceJet B737 aircraft operating flight SG-11 was diverted to Karachi due to an indicator light malfunctioning. The spokesperson of the airline company said the crew noticed an unusual fuel quantity reduction from the left tank.

He further said the fuel supply continued to decline despite their adherence to relevant SOPs. The pilot-in-command (PIC) made the decision to reroute the plane to Karachi. In coordination with ATC, the aircraft made a safe landing in Karachi.

This is not the first time that the SpiceJet flight has made an emergency landing due to a technical fault.

Another such incident happened a few days ago when the Delhi-Jabalpur-bound SpiceJet plane made an emergency landing in Delhi after the crew and passengers noticed the smoke in the cabin. The official also said that the cabin crew informed the cockpit crew of mild smoke in the cabin, however, there was no visual check or sign of smoke or damage seen in the lavatory. The plane landed safely and the passengers were also safe.

Last month, a SpiceJet plane faced a similar scenario when aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing at the Bihta Airforce Station in Patna after the flight’s left-wing caught fire. According to the District Magistrate, two blades of the plane were bent. All the passengers were evacuated safely.

A man tried to approach PM Narendra Modi by jumping the barricade during an election road show in Karnataka’s Davangere on Saturday.

The video of the incident was caught on camera. The man hails from the Koppal district and is being interrogated by the police. Reports said senior police officer Alok Kumar ran towards him and stopped him from intruding into the convoy.

Reports further said the man in question was hiding inside the premises of GMIT college and the Special Protection Group detained the person and handed him over to the police.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today carried out a mega roadshow in Karnataka’s Davangere ahead of the Assembly Polls. Modi also inaugurated the Whitefield to Krishnarajapura metro line along with Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai in Bengaluru.

This is the second time when the Prime Minister’s security got compromised during a rally in the poll-bound state. A similar incident took place in January when PM Modi was rallying in Karnataka’s Hubballi. A boy had jumped on the road and was whisked away by the SPG.

The former Congress MP also added that he won’t be scared of PM Modi as he is fighting for democracy.

The press conference by Rahul Gandhi comes after his expulsion from the lower house. The Congress leader lost his Lok Sabha membership after a court in Gujarat convicted him for 2 years in a defamation case over his statement about Modi’s surname on March 22.

As per the reports, the Court granted the Congress leader bail with a bail bond of Rs 10,000 and suspended the 2-year jail term.

After Rahul Gandhi’s press conference, various leaders from the BJP’s top brass came forward to slam the Congress leader. BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad addressed a press conference and accused Gandhi of making false statements and dissuading from the subject.

He also highlighted that the Congress leader was convicted for his speech delivered in 2019. Prasad further highlighted that the Congress leader himself said that he speaks thoughtfully and further implied whatever Gandhi said and was convicted of in 2019, it was spoken thoughtfully.

Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal also chimed in and slammed Rahul Gandhi. The Union Minister spoke to the media and said that Rahul Gandhi is able to speak because there is democracy in this country.

He further said that Gandhi is the one speaking the most against PM Modi and countered his claims where Gandhi said that his voice is being strangled.

In the backdrop of the showdown between BJP and Rahul Gandhi, Congress party workers took to the streets in West Bengal to demonstrate against the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi from the lower house.
