UP: College student shot dead on road by bikers, incident captured on CCTV | WATCH

A BBA first year student who was walking with a classmate was shot dead in dayling in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district.

This shootout was carried out at just a small distance from the college. This incident of murder has been captured in CCTV. Police took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem. Four teams have been formed to arrest the killers.

Shamik, a resident Jhalu left the college at 3 pm on Wednesday afternoon along with his classmate. Shamik and his classmate started walking on the road after having tea at a nearby restaurant.

At some distance from the college, two bike riding youth were standing in ambush. A bike rider wearing a helmet fired at Shamik who was walking on road. The first bullet was fired at the feet of the student which did not hit the target. In the second shot, the bullet hit the student’s chest.

Student ran towards college as soon as he was shot

As soon as the bullet was fired, the student ran towards the college, who fell unconscious as soon as he reached near the college gate. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

As soon as the news was received, CO City Anil Kumar reached the spot and started the investigation. A CCTV footage from the spot has also been captured by the police. At the same time, the police of all the nearby police stations were alerted. Four teams have been formed to arrest the killers.

ASP (urban) Dr Praveen Ranjan Singh said that a first year BBA student has been shot at by bike-borne youths. The student has died due to bullet injuries. All aspects are being investigated. Four teams have been formed. Soon the murder will be revealed.

PM Modi further underscored that the decisions taken in the present will shape the lives of coming generations, reiterating the vision of building a Viksit Bharat. He urged citizens to prioritise their duties while exercising their right to vote as part of strengthening democracy.

He also paid tribute to the makers of the Constitution, noting that their foresight continues to inspire India’s developmental journey.

Speaking at the historic event, he said that centuries-old wounds were healing with the fulfilment of a 500-year-old resolve.

PM Modi highlights symbolic significance of the Ram Mandir flag

During his address, the Prime Minister said the new saffron flag was not just a religious emblem but a symbol of India’s civilisational rejuvenation. He added that the presence of the Sun symbol, the word ‘Om’, and the Kovidara tree on the Dharm Dhwaja represented the ideals of Ram Rajya.

The Prime Minister said the flag embodied the long struggle, commitment, and resilience of generations, and would stand for the values of Lord Ram for “thousands of centuries”.

Call for unity, harmony and a developed India by 2047

PM Modi emphasised that Lord Ram does not discriminate, and India too must move forward with the same spirit. Outlining his vision, he said the nation must ensure a fully developed India by 2047, when the country completes 100 years of Independence.

He urged citizens visiting Ayodhya to explore the Sapt Mandapam at the temple premises, describing it as a space reinforcing values of faith, duty, friendship and social harmony.

The Prime Minister reiterated that India must free itself from the “mentality of slavery”, pointing out that although the country attained independence decades ago, a sense of inferiority imposed by colonial influence lingered. He stated that India is the “mother of democracy”, and democratic values are deeply rooted in its civilisational ethos.
