Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) is conducting class 10th term 1 board exams. Today, students appeared for the second major exam after Social Science. There were 60 multiple choice questions and students were required to attempt 50 questions of different formats. MCQs of different formats like questions based on diagrams, case studies, graphs, assertion reason and competency were there in the exam.

Most of the students found the paper difficult because of the complex and twisted questions. The questions which troubled the students most were chemical reactions and the easiest were case studies questions. On average, the students are expecting 35 marks out of 40.

According to the experts, the question paper was entirely from the syllabus. Teachers and experts labelled the paper as average/moderate because several questions were phrased in a way that could have confused students. Those who have grasped the NCERT book with a solid understanding of the concepts have easily answered all of the questions.
