An FIR was lodged against Gauri Khan, popular interior designer and wife of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan for ‘breach of contract’.
The complaint has been filed by Jaswant Shah, a Mumbai resident who accused Gauri Khan of failing to provide property possession to him, after taking money, reports said.
The case has been registered in Lucknow for criminal breach of trust under Section 409 of the Indian Penal Code. Jaswant Shah alleged that a company, of which Gauri is the brand ambassador, collected a sum of Rs 86 lakh from him and failed to give him possession of a flat in Lucknow.
An FIR was also filed against Tulsiyani Construction and Development Limited Chief Managing Director Anil Kumar Tulsiyani and its Director Mahesh Tulsiyani.
The complaint stated that the sum was collected for a flat located in Tulsiyani Golf View at Sushant Golf City, Lucknow but Jaswant never got its possession rights and the flat was given to someone else.

Shah bought the flat from Tulsiana Construction and Developers Group in 2015. He stated that he got inclined towards buying the property as he was influenced by Gauri Khan. He saw her speak about the project in an advertisement in 2015 and decided to buy the property. He was promised the possession rights of the flat in 2016 but was never handed over the keys.
Gauri Khan is a very well-known name in the field of interior design. Her interior design company, Gauri Khan Designs, is a Bollywood favourite and she has worked on many celebrity homes, vanity studios and stores over the past decade.
In October 2021, Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan was arrested in connection with the Mumbai cruise drugs case conducted by the Narcotics Control Bureau. Under zonal director Sameer Wankhede, the NCB’s Mumbai unit raided a cruise ship off the city coast. Aryan Khan, along with several others, was arrested and accused of consumption and ‘conspiracy’, among other charges.
However, Khan was given a clean chit and was released from jail. The Bombay High Court granted bail to Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, and Munmun Dhamecha.
