Liger

Puri Jagannath’s directorial Liger has released in theatres and the movie has received extremely mixed reviews from the Indian audience. Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey’s action thriller was already under scrutiny after the Arjun Reddy actor defended Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chadha.

Vijay Deverakonda in Liger stars as the titular MMA fighter boxer alongside Ananya Panday, Ronit Roy and Ramya Krishna in pivotal roles. The movie has hit theaters today in five languages and the Pan-India movie seems to be a fit for some and a misfit for others.

Twitter has been trending #BlockbusterLiger and #LigerFails since this morning. While the critics have criticized the dialogues and the screenplay of the film, calling it a cringe worthy film. While the Indian audience has shown affection towards the movie. Hence, it is safe to say that the movie has clearly divided the internet.

Vijay Deverakonda’s physical transformation is being applauded by everyone but Ananya Pandey’s over acting is also a reason behind Liger’s bad reviews. It also seems like the script has failed this time, however, Vijay’s fans are tying too hard to save the boat.

As per the Twitter reaction of Liger, the action-thriller seems like a waste of money, talent and time. With such reach, power, money and man power, any filmmaker can overcome hurdles to make a good film but seems like Dharma productions is gearing up for yet another flop.

Liger is backed by Dharma Productions and directed by Puri Jagannadh. The Ananya Panday and Vijay Deverakonda starrer is release in theatres in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Marking the debut of Vijay in Bollywood, Liger also features Mike Tyson, Ronit Roy, Ramya Krishnan, Vishu Reddy, Ali and Makarand Desh Pandey in other pivotal roles.
