Pathaan Twitter review: Fans call Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone starrer paisa vasool entertainer, Salman Khan's cameo cherry on the cake

It seems that Shah Rukh Khan’s big return movie Pathaan has leaked online on pirate sites, a day ahead of its release.

The film also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham and set to hit theaters in over 100 countries today. However, according to reports, the movie has already been leaked on some piracy sites and is available for download on sites like Filmyzilla and Filmy4wap.

APN could not independently verify the alleged leaks. However, despite the setback, Pathaan is still expected to make a mega opening in view of the record number of advance bookings, the film has already sold over 5 lakh tickets for its first day shows.

After news of the leaks surfaced, Pathaan producers Yash Raj Films (YRF) wrote a plea to an anti-piracy email, urging the fans not to watch the leaked footage and instead experience the action spectacle in theatres.

YRF has requested fans to refrain from recording any video in theatres and sharing them online and from giving out spoilers for Pathaan.

The action-thriller is already making waves and is being dubbed a blockbuster even before its release due to the insane number of advance bookings it received – over 5 lakh – second only to Baahubali: The Conclusion.

Pathaan, which has been at the forefront of controversy since the release of its first song featuring Deepika Padukone’s much debated orange bikini, sees Shah Rukh Khan return to the big screen after a four-year hiatus.

The Bajrang Dal and the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Tuesday said they will no longer oppose Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan as the groups have seemingly made peace with revisions proposed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

In a statement Gujarat VHP general secretary Ashok Rawal termed the censor board’s removal of “obscene lyrics and lewd words from the film” as good news. Rawal also congratulated the VHP, Bajrang Dal workers and “the entire Hindu society” for this “successful struggle to protect religion and culture.”
