Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, announced the launch of a significant hiring drive in the education department on Tuesday. He claimed that because there are many open positions, education is suffering. According to a press release, Mann was speaking to the audience during a state-level event here to celebrate Teacher’s Day.
The state government has made the decision to launch a significant hiring drive in the education department in line with its aim to make Punjab a leading state in education, he said.
Mann said a lot more positions, including those for campus administrators and sanitation staff, will be filled in the upcoming days.
At the event, the chief minister presented state-level prizes to 80 teachers and announced that the government is getting ready to open Schools of Eminence in Punjab.
Mann said the first school would be dedicated to the community on September 13 and that a budget of Rs 68 crore has been made available for the establishment of these schools.
10,000 classrooms are getting a new look to modernise schools across Punjab, he said, adding that these classrooms will also have high-tech supplies. Furthermore, Mann continued, 1,000 new classrooms are being built across the state.
The chief minister said the state government is concentrating on a thorough revamp of the educational system and added that schools.
Principals and teachers are routinely sent to prestigious educational institutions inside the country and overseas to update their abilities.
According to Mann, the goal is to make sure that educators may gain knowledge of cutting-edge international practises in the field.
Similarly, he said, students are being sent to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and other institutions in an effort to foster a scientific mindset.
Mann reaffirmed that his government is putting forth enormous effort to address the issues facing teachers.
By resolving all legal and administrative issues, the state administration, according to him, has restored 12,710 teachers’ employment status.
