UGC NET 2021 Examination: Candidates, who were expecting National Testing Agency (NTA) to release the admit card of the examinations, which was scheduled to take place from October 17th, have to wait more for their examination.

NTA on Saturday released a new notice, which states that the examinations for UGC NET December 2020 and June 2021 cycles, have been postponed for the indefinite period because of the clashes with other examinations on the very same dates. However, NTA ensured that the next dates will be announced shortly.

“Several requests have been received from candidates regarding the clash with some other major examinations. Hence NTA has decided to postpone the UGCNET December 2020 and June 2021 cycles to subsequent dates which will be announced shortly,” said NTA in a statement released on October 9th.

This is not the first time NTA have postponed the examination. Earlier, the examinations were scheduled to take place in March-April month of 2021, but due to COVID outbreaks in the country, NTA shifted the dates to June, which was again got postponed in September of 2021 due to the lockdowns across country. Given that all travel restrictions across country, the exam again got postponed in first week of October.

When candidates were hoping for the UGC NET 2021 examinations in October, National Testing Agency (NTA) rescheduled to October 17th and now again the NTA have postpone the examinations to indefinite time, citing that there were requests from students that the exam dates were clashing with other major examinations.
