Hundreds of people raised pro-Congress slogans as the former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, who is leading the Bharat Jodo Yatra, on Sunday evening addressed a rally amid heavy rains in Mysuru.
Neither rain, nor heat can stop this Bharat Jodo Yatra, which is aimed at stopping hatred and violence spread by the BJP-RSS, he said while addressing a public meeting in heavy rains.
Soon after Rahul Gandhi arrived at the public meeting at the end of the day’s march, the rain started but he chose to continue his speech. As he chose to continue his speech, the crowds cheered for him, even as many were seen holding up chairs to ward off the torrential rain.

Taking part in the Gandhi Jayanthi celebration at the Khadi Gramodyog Centre in Badanavalu in Karnataka’s Mysuru district, Rahul Gandhi said Bharat Jodo Yatra is a battle with the ideology which killed Mahatma Gandhi. He also attacked the BJP government in Karnataka over corruption.
