Mahindra has officially launched the top-end variant of its much-awaited BE 6 electric SUV, the BE 6 Pack Three, priced at Rs 26.90 lakh (ex-showroom). This announcement follows the introduction of the BE 6 in November last year, when Mahindra revealed the entry-level variants at an introductory price of Rs 18.90 lakh. With the Pack Three now priced, the company has confirmed that the SUV will be available in three variants: Pack One, Pack Two, and Pack Three. However, the pricing for the mid-spec Pack Two variant has not yet been disclosed.
Starting from February 14, Mahindra will begin bookings for the BE 6 Pack Three, while bookings for the other two variants will open in March. Deliveries for all variants are expected to commence by March 2025. The BE 6 will be offered in a range of eight body colours, including Everest White, Firestorm Orange, Stealth Black, Tango Red, Deep Forest, Desert Myst, Desert Myst Satin, and Everest White Satin.
Loaded with premium features
The BE 6 is equipped with cutting-edge technology and features, making it one of the most feature-rich electric SUVs in the market. The top-tier Pack Three variant includes dual 12.3-inch floating screens powered by Mahindra’s Artificial Intelligence Architecture (MAIA), a new two-spoke, flat-bottom steering wheel with an illuminated ‘BE’ logo, an aircraft-style drive mode selector, and a wireless charging pad.
Other premium features include dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof with integrated multi-colour lighting patterns and UV protection, auto park assist, electronic parking brake, and a high-end Dolby Atmos 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Additionally, the SUV comes with ambient lighting, a powered driver’s seat with memory function, 5G connectivity with in-built Wi-Fi, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and a comprehensive Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite. A 360-degree camera system and seven airbags further enhance the safety features.
Battery, range, and performance
The BE 6 will be available with two battery pack options. The entry-level Pack One variant comes with a 59 kWh battery offering an ARAI-certified range of 556 km. Meanwhile, the higher variants, including Pack Two and Pack Three, are equipped with a 79 kWh battery providing an impressive range of 682 km. The 59 kWh battery is paired with a 228 bhp motor, while the 79 kWh battery powers a 277 bhp motor. Both variants deliver a torque output of 380 Nm.
In terms of performance, the BE 6 is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds, with the larger 79 kWh battery and all-wheel drive (AWD) setup. The Pack One variant, which is rear-wheel drive (RWD), offers a slightly different driving experience.
Warranty and fast charging
Mahindra has also introduced a lifetime warranty for the 79 kWh battery pack for the first owner, ensuring peace of mind for buyers. The company claims that the larger battery can be charged from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes using a 175kW DC fast charger, making the BE 6 a convenient option for long-distance travel.
With its blend of advanced features, powerful performance, and an impressive driving range, the Mahindra BE 6 is poised to make a significant impact in the electric SUV market. Fans and potential buyers can look forward to more details as bookings open in the coming months.
