Indigo flight cancel

Hundreds of travellers at the Delhi airport were observed yelling and shouting slogans against airline on Wednesday after the purported cancellation of their flight.

In a video that was posted online it can be heard that the passengers were screaming “band karo, band karo” (stop it) upon the cancellation of their flight from Delhi to Deoghar, Jharkhand. As soon as it was posted, it quickly went viral in no time.

At Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on Wednesday morning, bad weather caused over 10 flights to be cancelled and over 50 flights to be delayed, according to flight tracking website.

IndiGo said in an advisory earlier in the day that bad weather is anticipated to affect flight operations in Delhi, Srinagar, and Chandigarh.

“Please keep a check on your flight status before leaving for the airport,” IndiGo said.

Earlier this month, when IndiGo’s passengers were waiting for their flight to take off, food was spotted being consumed on the tarmac, then the airline was fined Rs 1.2 lakh for five violations.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) described it as a violation of apron discipline and said, on January 15, passengers of two IndiGo planes remained on the apron at the CSMI Airport, Mumbai (MIAL), for a significant amount of time.

The DGCA learned about this through social media. This is against DGCA Air Safety Circular 04 of 2007 Paragraph 5, which instructs all airport agencies not to allow people to walk on an operating apron. Long-term passenger presence on the apron compromises both aircraft and passenger safety, which is a violation of apron discipline

The biggest fine levied on an airline in recent time was demanded from IndiGo, and it was due in 30 days.

Virat Kohli touching Mohammed Shami’s mother’s feet after Champions Trophy 2025 win

India’s Champions Trophy 2025 triumph was marked by jubilant celebrations, but a heartfelt moment between Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami’s mother has touched the hearts of millions. Following India’s emphatic four-wicket victory over New Zealand in the final at Dubai, Kohli’s warm gesture of touching Shami’s mother’s feet as a mark of respect has gone viral on social media.

In a video captured by the official broadcast, Kohli was seen bowing down to touch the feet of Mohammed Shami’s mother, a traditional Indian gesture to show respect. The heartwarming interaction, followed by smiles and a photograph with Shami’s family, has been widely appreciated by fans, highlighting the strong camaraderie within the Indian cricket team.

Ahead of the tournament, both Kohli, 36, and Shami, 34, had their fair share of scrutiny, but they silenced critics with stellar performances when it mattered the most.

Kohli emerged as India’s second-highest run-scorer in the tournament and the fifth overall. His crucial contributions included a century against Pakistan in the group stage and a match-winning 84-run knock in the semi-final against Australia. This victory added another feather to Kohli’s cap, making it his fourth major ICC title and second Champions Trophy win.

Shami, on the other hand, overcame injury setbacks to make a remarkable return. With Jasprit Bumrah missing from the squad, Shami led India’s pace attack and delivered under pressure. His outstanding performances included a five-wicket haul against Bangladesh, three wickets in the semi-final against Australia, and another crucial scalp in the final. He finished as India’s joint-highest wicket-taker alongside Varun Chakravarthy.

Following the heartbreak of the 2023 World Cup final, India has bounced back in remarkable fashion, clinching two ICC trophies in succession— the T20 World Cup 2024 and the Champions Trophy 2025. With an impressive record of 23 wins in their last 24 ICC matches, India has reaffirmed its dominance on the global stage.
