Jaideep Ahlawat as Hathi Ram Chaudhary in Paatal Lok season 2 teaser

After a long wait of almost five years, the highly anticipated second season of Paatal Lok is set to hit Prime Video, and the official teaser has just dropped, sending fans into a frenzy. The latest glimpse into the dark, gripping world of the show brings back Jaideep Ahlawat in his iconic role as Inspector Hathi Ram Chaudhary. The teaser, lasting just over two minutes, offers a chilling and intriguing preview of what’s to come.

In the teaser, Hathi Ram is seen entering an elevator and pressing the “P” button, a playful yet ominous reference to the “Paatal Lok” or the underworld he has been entangled in. As the elevator ascends, Hathi Ram begins narrating the eerie tale of a man from a village who once despised insects. However, after being bitten by one, the man gathers the courage to kill it. This act of bravery earns him the admiration of his village, and he sleeps soundly at night, only for something unexpected to crawl under his bed—a swarm of insects. What begins with one insect soon spirals into a terrifying infestation, and the man’s life begins to unravel.

As the elevator doors open to a dimly lit space, Hathi Ram chillingly reveals that in Paatal Lok, things never go as expected. The man thought he could end the horror after killing just one insect, but in this dark world, there’s no escaping the chaos that follows.

The teaser concludes with Hathi Ram walking away, leaving a trail of mystery and anticipation for what’s to come. Fans are excited about his return, especially as this season promises even more intrigue and drama. The new season of Paatal Lok will be available for streaming on Prime Video starting January 17, 2025.

Paatal Lok Season 2 is helmed by director Avinash Arun Dhaware and created by Sudip Sharma, with production by Clean Slate Filmz in partnership with Eunoia Films LLP. The show has been filmed extensively in North Bengal, with Kalimpong serving as a primary location, adding to the gritty atmosphere. Alongside Ahlawat, the cast will feature Ishwak Singh and Gul Panag in their respective roles, while new faces such as Tillotama Shome, Nagesh Kukunoor, and Jahnu Barua will join the drama in significant roles.

With the new teaser dropping on Instagram accompanied by the caption “P for ????̶????̶????̶????̶????̶????̶????̶ Paatal Lok,” excitement is building for the release of this much-awaited season.

As the clock ticks down to January 17, fans can expect an even darker, more intense journey through the underworld of Paatal Lok.

Coldplay concert in Ahmedabad: Chris Martin’s band gets notice from Child Protection Unit, asked not to use children in any form on stage

He affirmed his dedication to taking necessary actions to protect children’s rights.

The District Child Protection Unit in Ahmedabad has issued directives for the upcoming Chris Martin’s Coldplay concert, which is scheduled for January 25 and 26, 2025, at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The directive includes a prohibition on children being present on stage and a strict enforcement of noise control measures, limiting sound levels to a maximum of 120 decibels.

The notice specifies that any failure to adhere to these guidelines will result in severe repercussions from the District Child Protection Unit. The unit has expressed concerns regarding the health risks associated with excessive sound levels for children, particularly when they surpass 120 decibels.

This action follows a complaint from Pandit Rao Dharnevar, an Assistant Professor of Sociology in Chandigarh, who argued that exposure to loud concerts and intense lighting could negatively impact children’s physical health and impede their mental development. Dharnevar is committed to advocating for children’s rights in similar instances in the future.

Previously, he lodged a complaint against Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh’s New Year’s Eve concert in Ludhiana, which led to a formal notice from the Deputy Director of the Women and Child Department of Punjab. This notice instructed the Ludhiana District Commissioner to prevent the singer from performing specific songs that were associated with alcohol consumption, regardless of any alterations to the lyrics.

In a statement to ANI, Dharnevar reiterated that involving children in concerts with loud noises and bright lights is detrimental to their health and development. He affirmed his dedication to taking necessary actions to protect children’s rights.

Coldplay’s highly anticipated concert in Ahmedabad is part of their “Music of the Spheres” world tour. Originally slated for a single performance, the band decided to add a second show due to overwhelming demand. Before their Ahmedabad performances, the Grammy-winning band will take the stage in Navi Mumbai at DY Patil Stadium on January 18, 19, and 20. This marks the band’s long-awaited return to India, having last performed in the country in 2016.

Bhooth Bangla marks the reunion of Akshay and Priyadarshan after a 14-year hiatus, their last collaboration being the 2010 political satire Khatta Meetha.
