RRR also got nominated in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the Golden Globes but failed to bag the award

SS Rajamouli’s film RRR achieved a historic feat at the ongoing Golden Globe Awards in the US on Tuesday. The song Naatu Naatu from the film won the Best Original Song Award.

The film RRR is also eligible in the Oscar race for the Best Original Song category. Apart from RRR, Chello Show has been shortlisted in the Best International category.

Music composer gets emotional while receiving award for RRR

SS Rajamouli has arrived with his stars Ram Charan Tej and NTR Jr at the ongoing 80th Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, USA. South Superstar Chiranjeevi described this achievement of RRR as historic. Music composer MM Keeravani received the award. He got emotional while thanking Rajamouli and the cast.

RRR fails to receive award in Best Foreign Language Film

RRR was also nominated in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the Golden Globes and there was hope of getting another award. But Argentina 1985 bagged an award in this category. RRR was up against Decision to Leave (South Korea), All Quiet on the Western Front (Germany) and Argentina 1985 (Argentina).

Indian got its first nomination 66 years ago, film Gandhi won 5 awards

The first Indian film to be nominated for the Golden Globe Awards was in 1957. Shantaram himself was in the lead role in V Shantaram’s film and actress Sandhya played a memorable role with him. The film won the award in the International Film category. This was followed by a nomination for Richard Attenberg’s film Gandhi in 1983. The film won 5 Golden Globe Awards such as Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor (Ben Kingsley).

In 2009, music director AR Rahman won the Best Original Song Award for Slumdog Millionaire. Apart from this, the film also received Best Picture, Best Director and Best Screen Play Award. Apart from these, films like Salaam Bombay in 1989 and Monsoon Wedding in 2002 have also been nominated for Golden Globe awards.

Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan’s Metro In Dino to release this November

Anurag Basu-helmed Metro In Dino, received a fresh release date after significant delays.

Anurag Basu-helmed Metro In Dino, which was earlier scheduled to release in September, has now got the new release date. The film starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Konkona Sensharma, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Pankaj Tripathi, and Neena Gupta, will release in theaters on November 29.

After four years, Anurag Basu is set to return to directing chair with his upcoming film, Metro In Dino. The film was first announced in December 2022, and it has now been given a new release date following considerable delays. For those who don’t know, the original release date for Metro In Dino was September 13, 2024.

The makers of Anurag Basu’s film posted on social media, saying, #MetroInDino tells the touching stories of contemporary couples, with love in the city taking center stage. With an amazing ensemble cast that includes Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sensharma, Ali Fazal, and Fatima Sana Shaikh, mark November 29 of this year on your calendars to experience the magic of love. Anurag Basu, who has previously worked with Pritam on movies like Gangster, Life in a… Metro, Barfi!, Jagga Jasoos, and Ludo, has given him again the musical duties for Metro In Dino. The film is a standalone follow-up to Anurag Basu’s critically acclaimed Life in a Metro from 2007. Dharmendra, Irrfan Khan, Kay Kay Menon, Shiney Ahuja, Shilpa Shetty, and Kangana Ranaut, played the lead roles in the film.

Meanwhile, Metro In Dino will mark the first collaboration of Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan. Aditya was last seen in 2023 release Gumraah alongside Mrunal Thakur. While Sara had two releases last month including Murder Mubark alongside Karishma Kapoor and Karan Johar’s Ae Watan Mere Watan.

Do Aur Do Pyaar narrates the story of a married couple, reluctant businessman Anirudh, also known as Ani Bannerjee (played by Pratik Gandhi) and dental practitioner Kavya Ganeshan (played by Vidya Balan). Both of them are residing in Mumbai. The couple has been married for 12 years. But over the last few years their relationship has only been physical with emotional and mental separation prevailing.

The couple lacks warmth and is confined to their own side of the bed as they are sleeping with their phones instead of their partners. Kavya seeks solace with Vikram (played by Sendhil Ramamurthy) who is globe-trotting photographer, while Anirudh finds comfort in Nora (Illeana D’ Cruz) who is a young aspiring actress. But a visit to Kavya’s hometown rekindles the couple’s passion in the relationship.

Social media users who watched the film took to X and shared their reviews. One X user Rohit Jaiswal gave the film 4/5 star rating and said it is an adorable film. Vidya Balan and Pratik Gandhi have done amazing work and Ileana Dcruz impressed the audiences with her performance.

It is an uncomplicated film of a visibly unhappy married couple seeking love outside of their marriage. But everything changes when an unexpected incident reminds them of what their love used to be like in the beginning. The film is filled with beautiful moments and overall looks adorable. The pace of the film is slow in parts. Yet the film is a must watch for its realistic take on modern relationships  Rohit Jaiswal said Do Aur Do Pyaar will do well with the urban audiences.

One X user Avik shared the early reviews of Do Aur Do Pyaar which said that it is a cute film and he thanked the makers for making such content.

One social media user Sonu K gave the film a 4 star rating out of 5. He said it is an adorable film which one can watch with his family.

Yami Gautam starrer political action thriller Article 370, after its successful theatrical release, today debuted on the OTT giant Netflix.

The film, which released in theaters on February 23 of this year, attracted attention for how it handled the sensitive subject of Jammu and Kashmir’s Article 370 abrogation.

Netflix yesterday posted a reminder on its official X (earlier known as Twitter) account, a reminder, saying, Article 370 is arriving tomorrow, only on Netflix! #Article370OnNetflix.

Priyamani, Kiran Karmarkar, and Arun Govil play important roles in Article 370, which is directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale and co-produced by Yami Gautam’s husband Aditya Dhar.

The excitement surrounding the film’s digital release has increased due to Gautam’s highly praised portrayal of NIA officer Zooni Haksar.

The cast of the film, which included Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Skand Thakur, Ashwini Koul, Divya Seth Shah, Raj Zutshi, Sumit Kaul, Raj Arjun, Asit Gopinath Redij, Ashwani Kumar, and Irawati Harshe Mayadev, ran in theaters for 50 days following its release.

The screenplay and dialogue are by Aditya Suhas Jambhale and Arjun Dhawan, with additional screenwriting by Aarsh Vora. The script of the film is written by Aditya Dhar and Monal Thaakar.

Produced by Aditya Dhar, Article 370 has an approximate budget of Rs 25 crore. The filn earned over 100 crore and 104.81 crore worldwide.

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also discussed about the film, stating, he has heard that a film on Article 370 is going to be released this week. It is good thing since it will enable individuals to obtain accurate information, he added.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh then took his family to see the movie at a New Delhi theater, where he said that it depicted both the complexity of the problem and its challenging solution.
