Congress party secretary Jairam Ramesh while talking to the media on a threat of assassination of Rahul Gandhi, stated that the party is very concerned about the security of Rahul Gandhi. He further added that the party won’t compromise with the security of former Congress president Rahul Gandhi.
Jairam Ramesh in his statement also cited the Gandhi Family legacy being affected by assassination and added that the Party is concerned for Rahul’s security. Ramesh further added the struggle of security to keep Rahul safe as he tries to talk and reach out to every person in the crowd during the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

The statement by the grand old party’s Secretary has come after Madhya Pradesh’s Indore Police found a letter threatening to assassinate Rahul Gandhi on Friday. The threat letter has raised concerns in Madhya Pradesh amid Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, which is led by Rahul Gandhi.
Bharat Jodo Yatra, which is piloted by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, will go through Madhya Pradesh from November 28-30 according to schedule issued.
Threat letter
A letter was found outside a sweet shop in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore in which the sender warned of serial blasts across the city by the end of the month, said reports. The letter was reportedly sent by post and proclaimed the assassination attempt on Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, as well as Madhya Pradesh party Chief Kamal Nath.
According to reports, the letter also claimed and warned that Rajwada Palace will also be targeted in the threat senders attack.
According to reports, the letter was handed over to the police by the owner of the sweet shop, who found the letter. The name of the owner is Ajay Singh who has also reportedly confirmed that the language in which the letter was written was Hindi.
The letter also had the sender’s name in it which was BJP’s Chetan Kashyap.
Police action
After being handed over the letter by the sweet shop owner, Indore police have filed a complaint and have taken serious actions to probe further into the matter. According to reports, the Crime Branch of Indore with the assistance of other police departments will be overlooking the investigation.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Rajesh Kumar Singh, while talking to the media, said that it is a serious matter and informed the press that a thorough investigation has been launched in the pertaining case.
Reports also added that footage of CCTV cameras installed near the shop will also be combed through to search for the perpetrator who dropped the threat letter.
