At Mullanpur on Saturday, RR and PBKS will square off. With four wins, one loss, and a winning run snapped by Gujarat Titans (GT), RR is leading at the pointstable. With 2 wins and 3 losses, PBKS is placed at the 8th position on the points table. They lost their last match to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

During an entertaining pre-game Q&A session, Buttler revealed the name of the Bollywood actor he would want to see play his character in a biopic. He said he want to see Shah Rukh Khan in his biopic.

When the Kiwi bowler was asked by the English wicketkeeper-batter what he had most recently looked up on his phone, Boult responded with a funny response, Trent Boult dismissing Jos Buttler.

Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant becomes third-youngest player to reach 3000-run mark in IPL

Rishabh Pant-led team moved at 9th position after registering their win over LSG.

The Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant reached an incredible milestone on Friday as he became the third-youngest player to reach 3,000 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In his team’s second win of the year over the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), the left-hander smashed an incredible 41 runs off of 24 balls. The 2020 runners-up also moved up from the bottom of the rankings to the ninth slot with this win.

With the final delivery of the 12th over, Pant reached the milestone when he hit Marcus Stoinis for a four. He showcased an impressive range of shots, such as his leg play and scoops over third man. After Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill, the skipper of DC was the third-youngest player to surpass 30,000 runs.

Surprisingly, among the 25 batters who have scored more than 3,000 runs, he has the third-highest strike rate (148.4), just behind AB De Villiers (151.68) and Chris Gayle (148.96).

After Kuldeep Yadav returned, the DC bowlers did a fantastic job of destroying the LSG batting lineup at 94/7 with three wickets taken. But teenager Ayush Badoni’s bravery, who scored 55 off 35 deliveries, helped the Super Giants put up a respectable 167/7 total on the board.

The DC batters took over at that point and led this run-chase without any problem. In the seventh over, having lost both of their openers at 63 runs, debutant Jake Fraser-McGurk teamed up with Rishabh Pant to register his first-ever IPL half-century. Fraser-McGurk hit 4 fours and 5 sixes in his 55 runs for 35 balls. Meanwhile, KL Rahul stumped Rishabh Pant off a delivery from Ravi Bishnoi as he was very close to his half-century at 41.

However, the duo had contributed to making sure DC would easily meet the target; they also became the first team to beat Lucknow this year by successfully chasing a total of more than 160 runs.

Hardik Pandya’s stepbrother Vaibhav Pandya breaks silence on alleged Rs 4.3 crore cheating case, says it is a family matter

Hardik and Krunal Pandya’s step brother, Vaibhav Pandya, was arrested for allegedly cheating them of Rs 4 crore in a business venture.

Vaibhav Pandya, the stepbrother of cricketer siblings Hardik and Krunal Pandya, who was cheating on Friday for allegedly defrauding them of Rs 4 crore in a business venture, informed a Mumbai court that the whole situation was a family issue and was simply misunderstood.

During his remand hearing, Vaibhav Pandya (37), through his lawyer, made the submission. His arresrt by the police was extended until April 16. On Monday, the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of the Mumbai police detained him on allegations of criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust, criminal intimidation, criminal forgery, and other pertinent sections.

After his first police remand ended on Friday, he was produced before additional chief metropolitan magistrate (Esplanade court) L S Padhen.

During the hearing, Niranjan Mundargi, Vaibhav’s laywer, said to the court that it was a family matter and the case has been filed due to misunderstanding  and that the attempts are being made to find a solution.

Additionally, Mundargi said that his client was assisting with the investigation and had no issues with the police-requested remand extension. The EOW requested a seven-day extension of remand, arguing that the investigation was incomplete and that significant material had not yet been retrieved from the accused.

After hearing all sides of the argument, the magistrate said that although the investigative agency had made headway in the inquiry, more time was needed to question the accused because of the case’s numerous financial aspect.

Vaibhav, Hardik, and Krunal allegedly formed a polymer firm together in Mumbai in 2021. Hardik and Krunal contributed 40% each while Vaibhav contributed 20% of the money. The profit-loss ratio remained constant at 2:2:1.

According to the police, Vaibhav was designated to oversee the day-to-day operations of the company. However, he is accused of breaching the partnership agreement by founding a second company engaged in the same industry without disclosing this information to Hardik and Krunal.

This incident caused the original firm’s profits to decline, costing Hardik and Krunal a loss of Rs. 3 crore, while Vaibhav’s personal profit climbed by 20–33 percent.

The accused also reportedly transferred about Rs 1 crore from the company to his personal account, costing the cricketer siblings a total of Rs 4 crore, as per police.
