Taking a dig at the recently released ‘Besharam Rang’ song by Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Chigurupati Babu Rao remarked on Thursday that it was better to feed any hungry person than to watch ‘Pathaan’.

Babu Rao criticised the song “Besharam Rang,” saying that it was preferable to feed the needy than to pay to watch Pathaan.

Ironically, the pair’s on-screen chemistry has also been praised by the general public.

Ramesh Mendola, a BJP MLA from Madhya Pradesh’s Indore, criticised the Bollywood actors for telling people not to see the aforementioned movie in theatres. Additionally, he urged the public to boycott ‘Pathaan’ and made fun of Khan for visiting the Vaishno Devi temple in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir.

In preparation for the December 12 release of his movie ‘Pathaan’, Shah Rukh Khan paid a visit to the sacred temple.

Earlier on Wednesday, MP Minister Narottam Mishra made it known that he disagreed with the song and stated that the outfits were ‘objectionable’ in a conversation with the media.

He said uncertainty about whether the movie would be permitted to be released in Madhya Pradesh in a video of himself speaking to local media that he had posted on Twitter.

At first impression, the song’s costumes are offensive. The song from the movie ‘Pathaan’ was obviously shot with a nasty mentality, Narottam Mishra commented a couple of days after the song’s release.

Mishra was heard in the video saying that he doesn’t think that the video of the song was right and that he would tell the directors and makers of the film to fix it. He added that Deepika Padukone, earlier, came in the support of ‘Tukde Tukde Gang’ at JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University) and that’s why the actor’s mentality has come to the fore before everyone.

He also said that he believed that the name of this song ‘Besharam Rang’ was also objectionable in itself and the way the actor wore the saffron and green coloured clothes were not peaceful.

The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday granted former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu temporary release for a period of four weeks due to health concerns in relation to the skill development case.

The former chief minister needs cataract surgery, according to Naidu’s lawyer. Additionally, the judge set November 10 as his usual bail date, as per reports.

In relation to the purported Rs 3,300 crore Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) scandal, which is said to have occurred during Naidu’s tenure as Andhra chief minister, he was detained on September 9.

The police showed up at Naidu’s house that day at around three in the morning. Due to the massive protests from his party members, they were unable to arrest him. After about three hours, he was taken into custody.

The Crime Investigation Department (CID) of the Andhra Pradesh Police has opened an investigation into the case in March of this year. Based on the declarations of an accused turned approver and the depositions of three IAS officers, the investigation was launched in response to letters served to former Indian Railway Traffic Service officer Arja Srikanth, who held the position of chief executive officer (CEO) of the APSSDC in 2016.

Established in 2016, the APSSDC aims to empower jobless youngsters and improve their employability by offering skill training.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the project valued at Rs 3,300 crore was inked by the Chandrababu Naidu government at the time, according to the CID investigation. In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding, Siemens Industry Software India Ltd. and Design Tech Systems Pvt Ltd.
