[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared class 10th result today (Monday, May 6). Candidates who have appeared for the exam can check the result on the official site of CBSE at cbseresults.nic.in and cbse.nic.in.
Of the 17.6 lakh students who appeared in the Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE) Class 10 examinations, 91.1% have passed. This is 4.4 percentage points higher than last year’s pass percentage of 86.7%.
There were 13 students sharing the first rank, all scoring 499 marks out of 500, with eight of them from Uttar Pradesh schools.
Students can check their results at cbseresults.nic.in or simply use Google search.
Girls continued to perform better than boys although the gap is marginally smaller than last year’s. The pass percentage for girls was 92.4%, while boys had a pass percentage of 90.14%.
Trivandrum was the best performing region, with a pass percentage of 99.85%, closely followed by the Chennai region where 99% of students passed the examination.
While students from Kendriya Vidyalayas and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas had higher than average pass percentages of 99.5% and 98.6% respectively, students from government and government-aided schools lagged far behind, with pass percentages of just 77% and 72% respectively.
Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar congratulated the students and the CBSE for declaring the results in record time. The results have been announced within 38 days of the conclusion of the examination. Last year, it took CBSE 55 days after the end of the exam to declare the results.
